I knew as soon as he got here and said bull **** programs care about 6-6, I knew this was my type of guy.
(That's not saying 6-6 possibly wont happen under his watch, just glad he's looking past that)

Yeah, we've gotten to the point where 6-6 would have been disappointing.

Will be interesting next time we get 6-6, we've generally overperformed in attendance at bowls and it has gotten us a reputation for that, but after a few years at 8-9 wins i could see attendance dropping off

Lewis on a fast running back with a full head a steam should be avoided, but Lewis got caught sneaking up the field.

In defense of Lewis, he’s not the only safety that struggles in coverage. It’s going to keep Eisworth from getting drafted high imo.

It seemed like Braxton was the guy running after the big plays most of the day. Not sure that he was the primary cover guy on all of those plays. Bottom line is the defensive backfield and the OL had pretty bad days. Not being able to run or protect against the worst defense in the conference is pretty hard to excuse.

CMC was NOT happy about today in his post game. Only twice he said "best version of ourselves" and never said "win in the margins". He said toughness and grit is great, but we need to be beyond that now and execute the details. Penalties, drops, huge plays given up and that's not what we're about.

Glad he said that. He's been prone to cover it up with positive language which is fine for perspective but the team knows they're capable of better.

I didn’t think the OL was bad. Protection was good. Hall struggled, but some of that was him, and KU’s second level making tackles.

Heard him going off the field at half with Bruns and he was not happy with the way they were playing. Heard him on the locker room show with Heft and he still had the same tone. I think he's as frustrated as all of us that this group still hasn't played up to their full potential. A win next week is critical. Can't let K State pass us up in the standings with a first year coach. That would be demoralizing.

Lewis had some terrible breakdowns. Glad they finally replaced him near the end. Rough year for him.

Ugh. 4th and 1 call. Manning/CMC just wont go under center in those situations and play man football. It is what it is, but in hindsight that was such a pivotal play that Kansas used to get back in the game. Convert there, eats some more clock, put some points up and Kansas is ready to go home.

Didn't ISU run a QB sneak earlier this year on like 4th and 3 inside the 5? LOL.

As good as this team can be, the margin for error isn't great. However it still feels good to see what the team is capable of each week.

I don’t know if it would be demoralizing, but there’s a big difference between going 8-4 with a chance at a 9 win season, and sitting at 7-5. Where KSU finishes in Year 1 with a new coach doesn’t change anything other than it would add a L.

Sure, but I’m more critical of Hall missing the hole to the right and instead choosing to run into the DE that crashed down.

That was another situation in which we tried to get cute with 2 TE shifts. We make those situations way harder than they need to be. Like you said line up and sneak it for the 6 inches that were needed for a first down.

Just checking in to see if there were any survivors from the gameday thread. Was kinda assuming there were mass casualties here this afternoon. Was watching with ISU friends at a bar in Alexandria, Minnesota and didn't check in.

That shift only further dictated what the KU defense did. Guy timed it right down the line.
