Before tonight's games, the Big 12 teams have won 27 out of 30 games. WIthout checking, I doubt that other conferences can match that so far. So dang difficult to win in the toughest conference year after year, referring of course to conference games when it gets down to that.

Big 10 is 33-13 or 71.7%. We'll no doubt hear how they are the best or second best conference from the media starting in about January.

Big 12 now 33 wins out of 36 games. 91.7%.

However, I suspect the Holiday tournaments next week will more likely reveal who the real contenders are in the league. I'm afraid Iowa State's 44% shooting and 22% from 3 is not going to beat many legitimate opponents. Keep practicing guys!

Agree. I watched K-State in the gym last night. Presently, this team is earning its preseason ranking at B12 #9. They are not good. Very athletic but horrible shooters with bad handles and no leadership. I haven't watched any others beyond Ku and a little WVU and TCU because most games are local TV, LHN, or streamed.

Watching Baylor vs Ohio in the Myrtle Beach Invitational right now. Close game so far, Ohio is scrappy.

The Freddie Gillespie story is incredible. He's a terrific role player on a top 25 team. Tristan Clark seems a little rusty to me.

Texas looked just okay in their loss to Georgetown. Same old relaxed defense and jack-it offense that works when his great athletes are hot, I guess. Still, don't get how Smart keeps his job down there.

OU and TxT did not look like world-beaters to me either in their wins. Have not seen the others 'cept BU losing to UW. K-State is awful right now. I think Ku's going to win this in a walk sans any major injuries or NCAA folly.

We can't ignore schedules when considering the non-conference percentage. Some teams have faced stiffer schedules than others. A 2-3 team can be better than a 5-0 team, depending on opponents.

Agreed. But I'll take the Big 12 at 42 - 4 over the ACC at 65 - 15 and you can't say we haven't played anybody either. Baylor over #17 Nova today, for example.

Agreed - although it probably will be a different Nova team in March, Baylor beating them is impressive.
