Legal pot? I'm sold! Wait, I'm near Colorado so that doesn't matter I suppose.

Is Northern Illinois any good this year?

EDIT: They lost by ten to UNI on Saturday.

I watched that game, and UNI really pretty much controlled the game from start to finish.

The Huskies do have a really good guard named Eugene German who is one of those mid-major stars who is capable of going off for a big game anytime against anyone. We (and yes, as a dual ISU/UNI fan I say we in discussing the Panthers) were able to score on them both inside and outside the paint and more than held our own on the boards.

If we (ISU) come out cold and the German kid gets hot it could get interesting, but if UNI won by double digits on the road against them ISU (on paper at least) will win by at least 10 at Hilton.

NIU’s Eugene German was someone I was hoping would be our next NIU transfer.

As a sophomore he put up 28 against us in our 94-80 victory. He’s quick and we won’t see too many better scoring guards. A game in which Nixon will hopefully earn his redshirt.

He declared for the draft last year, but as a 6’0” “pg”, returned. He can make shots anywhere, and had a PER of 26 on 30% usage. That’s very good, particularly when on a poor team.
