Dear Florida: Jamie Pollard is savage

At some point we will need to schedule a game like Florida to raise our name on a national level. Maybe schedule now for 4 or 5 years from now and hope CMC is still here and continues to raise the program to higher levels.

It would be a GREAT move by Iowa State. To have an SEC Team that is a National Power come to JTS would be so electric. Man, oh, man, that would be awesome. Open with Florida, play UNI, then Iowa. It would really get the juices going for both seasons. I'm a Pollard fan, but he is being childish (with nothing to gain) here and not seeing the opportunity in front of him.

13 regular season games didn't help but that team was a house of cards anyway. Most ISU teams were with the lack of depth.

I've long thought the 13 games didn't help matters, when combined with the juggernaut of Big 12 powers (at the time) within about a month, that had to be depleting.

But on the flip side, Florida hasn't played a non-conference game outside Florida in 28 years.

He is not really trolling UF, but the SEC in general. UF actually played 10 P5 games this year, but also played 2 FCS teams.

If the SEC would just agree to match the other P5 conferences with 9 conference games (and 10 total P5 games), UF can play FSU every year like we play Iowa. And their AD would not have to resort to twitter to find non-conference games.

Because sometimes somebody's gotta say it and we know Bowlsby and most of the other Big12 ADs are too gutless to do it.

Why is it so hard to not just have 8 conferences of 9 teams (pull up the likes of Boise State/FSU/Cincy/Memphis ect). Play 8 conference games, then 4 of whoever you choose. Winner of each conference plays an 8 team playoff.
