Yeah, but if recruits like them, maybe we should wear them too. Might as well since it's obviously not "cool" or "hip" to actually wear your school colors...

Maybe we could wear orange and black this week since Halloween is only a few days away. It would/could really confuse OSU with us in their colors! Worked well a few weeks ago when outsiders couldn't tell ISU from TCU! LOL!

Reminder that it could always be worse. How is red anywhere close to TCU colors?

I would like TCU's uniforms better if the neon crimson or whatever that color is was used a little bit less. The Toronto Raptors colors are really popular right now.

I'll be honest, I like them! but I think just because it is a nostalgia thing - it reminds me of being a middle-schooler in the mid-90s when everything 'new and cool' from windbreakers to "Trapper Keepers" to expansion sports franchises was teal/turquoise, purple, red, and black...It is terribly "dated" now but has warm associations for me.

Plus it seems like the 90s are coming back, at least in a "forced you are supposed to find this cool" marketing way...

I won't doubt your statement, since I have no proof to the contrary.

I've inquired about this in previous uniform threads, and can't recall responses I got: When has Campbell specifically expressed his distaste for gold (as a main element, not a trim element)? Our latest design set suggests he'd prefer to downplay gold aspect, I just don't know how adamant he is about it.

The TCU uniforms don’t look great in that photo but I think they’ll actually look pretty good on the field. Once you understand the purpose of the red it makes more sense.
