Well there is that, and there is also the year where Iowa had two 1,000 yard runners too. OL has been very solid to good to great the past six years. This is the first year where it has been a weakness since I can't even remember.

CJB would like a word...

That's the $64,000 question. My guess is that the offense isn't very good and the running game is terrible.

So winning out to claim the West division with an offense which can't score TDs against one of the worst Defenses in the nation and play in the conference title game seems like a real possibility to some of your fan base?

Stranger things have happened, but I just don't see how

I only said that if Iowa wins out, they will win the West. I know they don't totally control their own destiny, but if they Win out I am 99.9% confident they will win the west.

But like we both said, unless their offense drastically gets better they will lose at least two more games this year so it won't matter anyways.

Stanley is still 3,000+ yards behind Long for career yards...I'd say that record is VERY safe. He only needs 1,200 yards to move past Tate into 2nd...2nd best QB in Iowa history.

Stats never tell the whole story and plus the game changes all the time so you need to put that into consideration as well. If I were to rank all time Iowa QBs it would be:

1) Long
2) Duncan
3) Banks
4) Rodgers
5) Tate

Interesting. Banks was very solid. I always wonder what he would have been like had he gotten 2-3 years what his numbers would have been like.

Looks like a potential late first round, early second round pick to me...:cool:

The cons list is the best. It just torches him. In essences, says unless he is playing backyard football with no rush, he is incapable of any real quarterback play LMAO

He has average proactive athleticism for the position. He will not extend plays with his legs. Lacks touch and his accuracy suffers when he is throwing on the move. Has shown instances of staring down his primary read and forcing the ball into coverage. Doesn’t have great ball placement on intermediate to deep throws. Doesn’t have great versatility in terms of the types of offenses that he can be utilized in. Will struggle with RPOs and anything forcing him out to the perimeter. He is not a threat to the defense as a runner.

His ball placement is his biggest issue IMO. That and he just isn't a gamer. He beats up on bad teams

I agree. But tell a Hawk fan that and their response is "ball placement and accuracy can be taught. His intangibles can't be" which is just asinine cause if that's true, then why hasn't Iowa taught him it yet
