hey what are your first two?

For the “drop” cookies category I'm thinking I'm gonna go with my Double Chocolate Chunk Mocha cookies that has won a ribbon at the Iowa State Fair. Picture attached.

For the "bar" cookies, I'm thinking I'm going with my salted caramel chocolate chip cookie bars. Though I couldn't find a picture.

To add on, I was initially thinking either my sweet potato pie cookies or my hot chocolate cookies for the holiday category. But all these suggestions are giving me ideas

So you like chocolate based balls and not cream based balls?

A well executed ginger snap is one of my favorites. It has to be chewy, though.
My sister and I argue over that one. We have the same recipe. I underbake so that mine are a little chewy. She bakes them until they're crunchy. According to her, they're not Ginger SNAPS if they're chewy. Clearly, I disagree. :D

I am not a sweets guy, but come Christmas time I am hardcore. I don't know the names of cookies but I love raiding all the cookies extended families bring

I would agree with your sister that ginger snaps should have just a little crunch due to their name, however, I probably like them a little more cake-like myself.

Maybe the name is the problem.

May I ask what a hot chocolate cookie entails? I’m interested
