100% nobody liked the son but nobody particularly liked the owner either. Everybody called him the wrinkle when I worked there in the back. If anybody saw him somebody would quickly say “wrinkle down line” so we all knew what was up.

We had other comments for people down line but not for him.

Didn’t know the son was ever married... kind of surprised at that.
Unless there was more than 1 son.
I'd put her at 50ish, short blonde hair, always there during lunch.
Friendly and she knows what shes doing.

Private equity firms often either try to correct or build a business to sell it at a profit or they bleed the cash flow to feed their other investments or line the pockets of investors. Profits are a good thing, but private equity investors have high expectations for payouts. That suggests there may be noticeable price increases at HP.

Tough place to do so. Increase the prices and you throw your only competitive advantage out the window. Suddenly you have less customers so your cost per plate rises but the building and parking lot are still the same fixed costs.

No one that I know is going to Hickory Park for great food. It's a great value. Increase the price and it hurts the value. Decrease the quantity of food and it hurts the value.

Agree with you there. Don't think either of those options are really a good one but I don't know that side of the business.

No one loved Jason, but Ol Man was the worst. This holdings company they sold to sounds like a joke. They don't even own a Karate dojo or payday loan franchise. This is their only food holding I saw. Once their food was no longer dirt cheap, I lost all interest in eating there. Maybe I worked there too long.
Fried chicken sandwich, cheese n bacon, MODS Dar. Lg House ONION bun

I would personally show up at the restaurant but I assume you're still good.

Also, an FYI for others, when Olde Main went belly up and had weddings lined up, Marcus from Mucky Duck stepped up at some events on very short notice.
So please support him.

The product and service was good because the old man was there in person watching to make sure it was. If these guys are just investors, it won't be the same after six months.
I honestly don't care. I'm not a fan of the place at all. They could chain the doors tomorrow and I wouldn't give a rip.
