BREAKING NEWS: THE CUBS WIN A ROAD GAME!!!

Good job Chatwood and Wick. And Lester for pitching out of MANY situations. As frustrating as it's been of late, I'll give it to those guys for showing guts today.

Testifying
I would actually consider buying one of these Cubs jerseys. The Pirates ones are awful.

This interview is going to be played back at every major milestone of this kid's life. And the whole room will laugh.

This has been enjoyable at least. I love the focus on the kids despite there being a big league game going on.

Q and Darvish have been fantastic lately. If the playoffs started today (and the Cubs were in them) I wonder what the rotation would be. Not really sure how you leave Lester, Hamels, or Hendricks out, but no way you can leave Q or Darvish out right now

Seems like some of these options should have come sooner. Almora has hit .219 after the all start break. Bote has hit .286 since then surprisingly but in a limited role his defense has been bad lately. He hit .190 in all of July. They don't have many bullpen arms with options at the moment and those who do seem to be pitching well so I guess someone has to go down until Sept. 1. A pitcher surely will have to go down if Zobrist is called up before Sept. 1 too.

The only case for Almora remaining up was that the Cubs had no other CF options besides Heyward on the roster until Happ was called up. KB would most likely be the emergency CF but that just opened another hole at 3B where Bote would need to play and he was one of the worst hitters in the MLB from mid June-Aug.

We're not last, we're not last!

But I'm sure the folks at Baseball America don't know as much as CyPunch and just didn't see the waves and waves of elite talent the Cubs have coming.

Haha, knew you'd be all over this. Why are you linking the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel though? Fishy.

Mostly agree with this review of the article though...
