247's final Elite 11 rankings.

Hunter Dekkers - The Iowa State commitment entered as the lowest rated passer in attendance per the 247Sports Composite, but more than proved he belonged on this stage. The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder is a big, strapping lefty with a strong arm. We were impressed with Dekkers’ aggressiveness in throwing downfield and taking vertical shots–not something you always see in this setting. He was still able to maintain some efficiency and was fairly accurate, completing over 65% of his passes. Coming from the smallest public school classification in the state of Iowa, Dekkers didn’t have many issues adjusting to the considerable uptick in the speed of play when The Opening’s athletes were added to the mix. A strong athlete himself, the dual-threat also ripped off a 4.71 second 40-yard dash at 225 pounds.

Isu isnt the "u" of anything, let alone QB's. 17 total players drafted in the last 20+ years. Tied with Kansas. Thats really bad. Rutgers has almost twice that number.

Although things are looking up so long as cmc sticks around and doesn't crush our collective souls by leaving one day.

Nice to grab the 2nd rated recruit in the state. Iowa has 4 of the top 6. We have to start chipping away at that ratio at some point.

Of those 4 that Iowa has snagged we quit recruiting one of them and two grew up in Eastern Iowa. It will always be tough for Iowa State to snag the eastern Iowa kids and unfortunately that is where a lot of the instate talent tends to be.

The Blaise recruiting miss stings like a b****...

IF he was a Cyclone, that's put #2, 3, 7, 8, and 9 in ISU's bag
And #9 on the composite, Brady Petersen from Ankeny is ranked significantly higher in 247's rankings
