For anyone that has an insta-pot, I used it last year and they turned out great. 2 minutes, 2 cups of water, and quick release.

Good idea. My wife always boils it until "it smells like corn". I just read an article that people cook corn wrong and it should be boiled for only a minute.

Thoughts?

Butter, salt and pepper, BTW.

I've always done 5 minutes. I may reduce that & see if it's better.

Anymore I just bring it to a boil and turn it off and just let it sit while preparing every thing else

I'd be afraid that it would overcook if I brought it to a boil with the corn in the pot. For me, I drop the ears into boiling water for 2 minutes, moving them around once or twice if any are sticking out at the top.

I add salt to the hooker I’m doing body shots off. Can drink tequila straight but it seems more fun that way.

Just make sure you use the proper salt

One of the great things about eating corn on the cob is using these bad boys

If you cut it off and can't use these, then...

Not exactly sure.
Ok, I will throw it out. What is with all these mamsy pamsys using these ear holders?? Grab that 200 degree golden beauty with your bare hands, slap some butter and /or salt on it and eat it like an adult.

The best part about eating it straight off the cob is that you get to lick the salt and butter off your lips and out of the corners of your mouth for the next 3 hours. It's the gift that keeps on giving, Clark.

Another big topic that needs discussed. What is the proper way to butter your corn on the cob.

Spray butter
Cut butter with a knife and spread it on the corn
A stick of butter and roll the ear

Ive always placed a stick of butter on a plate and rolled the ear of corn. My wife had never heard of or seen that technique before.

My family used spray butter, until we got this thing:

I just scoop butter on a soup spoon and the slide it back and forth across the ear. Have also done the roll it on a full stick of butter method

I've used one of these my entire life.
