Yes.... so technically Iowa was 4th in the B1G West Division.

If you want to break ties, the first one is always head to head.

Yeah not sure what he's trying to say. Iowa finished 4th in one of the weakest divisions in college football history but hey they beat us* so Iowa fans are happy

So that is the only time it matters....

It definitely doesn't matter in the case of ISU vs Iowa, since that's all you're concerned about.

ISU and Iowa play VERY early in the season and other than that don't share any common opponents. So how would their overall records matter?
