Guessing she wanted to play at a higher level. I see preseason suggestions say Pitt is at about 10th in the country.

From the article it was, "her dream to play in the Pac-12, as well as Colorado's prestigious academics and athletics. She plans on studying sociology." Colorado may have a good sociology department but it is a sidestep otherwise except if you like mountains.

Lemke originally committed to Colorado State then came here as a pure Freshman.

Holthaus named to the preseason all-conference team. One of fourteen players so honored, Eleanor was not a first team selection or with any other notoriety.

Holthaus had some of the most efficient hitting matches in ISU history in her debut season. Against Kansas on Nov. 21, she finished with 13 kills and no errors on 18 attack attempts for a .722 hitting percentage, the eighth-best in a match in ISU history. In her first match at Iowa State against Ole Miss, she recorded 10 kills and no errors on 14 swings to hit .714. She had particular fun against Oklahoma in 2018, posting her career-best 17 kills in the home meeting, and getting 13 at .650 hitting in the road meeting later in the season.
