Steve Stone said on today's broadcast that the Yanks will now shop Maybin. Why, just don't have the room on the 25 man roster?

Yah, kind of a big roster crunch coming. They optioned Clint Frazier to AAA after the game this afternoon to make room for Encarnacion. Though call on a guy hitting .283 with 11 HR and 34 RBI but he has options left and has been just brutal in right field. Stanton is due back on Tuesday so someone else will need to be moved. Maybin has played really good ball but is out of options so they would have to DFA him. Think they would like to find a deal for him before doing a DFA. Likely Mike Tauchman gets dumped Tuesday. They have another move needed soon when Judge gets back.

Speculation is Frazier is going to be trade material for a starter. He's only 24 and might end up being a star. Hell, he's good enough to start in the outfield for a LOT of teams right now. I have mixed feeling about him. He's going to be a great hitter and has some flare but also seems to be a bit of an ass-hole and, as mentioned above, isn't a good fielder. He'd be okay in right field though.

Good matchup for Sunday, even AL guy Boxster is watching.

And, WTF, Dodgers? You get 6 innings out of your guy and you have him hit in the bottom of the 6th with the ******* bases loaded? And he hits like Barkley golfs? Loved A Rod's comment there. JFC even a fly out gives you the lead. It's not like this is some sort of 10 - 9 slugfest and you're out of pitchers or something.

Charlie Blackmon also set a record for hits in a 4 game series with 15. Shame all that production resulted in only 2 wins.
They were talking about that during the Giants broadcast yesterday - amazing! Denver must the trickiest place to play (MLB) baseball in the country. You never really know what kind of game you're going to get, regardless of who is pitching.

Just looked up the scores from the four game series between the Padres and Rockies. There was a total of 92 runs scored - 44 by San Diego, 48 by Colorado. That's crazy!

Maybin making this a though call when Judge comes back. Just homered in his 4th straight game.

Blackmon with 3 more hits so far tonight. 18 for his last 28. That's not bad.:)

That Eloy homerun last night hurt as a Cubs fan. Quintana has given them solid innings, but it makes you wonder what could have been.

Rays look to be teeing it up and hitting driver off of Sabathia. Bet he doesn't go 4 today.

Edit: Or not. Ray's Snell (Cy Young AL 2018) only lasted 1/3 inning. DJ LeMahieu was 2-2 in the first inning. Now hitting .469 with runners in scoring position. Kinda clutch.

Edit 2: Well, I was totes wrong on Sabathia this game.

Big series for Yanks starting tomorrow, four with Astros. Verlander Sunday night. Aaron Judge is likely back on Friday. Jose Altuve came back tonight after missing like 5 or 6 weeks.
