Offense sucks in the sweep, what does Joe do, calls up CarGo who is hitting .210 this year and puts him 5th in the order.

Let's hope Jon-Boy throws like Jon-Boy today and the bats come alive.

Don't know squat about this Bedrosian kid, doesn't look like he walks that many people.

CarGo's last good season was 2016. Also have to wonder what his splits are outside of Coors Field too. I don't expect much from this call up.

Also is it any coincidence that since Schwarber moved to leadoff we've been mired in an offensive slump? I get it he walks a lot but his splits as leadoff this year are pathetic for a leadoff guy: .200/.313/.790 26 K in 65 AB. He's basically Adam Dunn batting leadoff, either going to get a walk, HR, or K with a horrible BA. I honestly don't know what to do with leadoff spot other than making a trade for someone because there isn't a good option on the roster. Yet another front office offseason failure to ignore a glaring issue just like they did with the bullpen.

Thought I read Bedrosian is just the opener and then Cahill is the primary SP

Count me in on this CarGo call up being an unnecessary desperation move. They are just in a slump hitting with RISP, but you still have several capable guys who have hit relatively well in that outfield. Give me any of Schwarber, Almora, Heyward or Bryant out there over CarGo. Hell, I'd even see what Happ can do first.

Nice catch by Cargo there.

He may not swing like he used to but he can still glove in the outfield with anybody.

Figures he gets called up with Rockies coming to town. He will be highly motivated to show his old club he still has it.

I hope Cargo proves some of you wrong. He came up big toward the end of the season last year when Colorado needed every game we could get. I was selfishly hoped he would stay in Des Moines long enough for me to see him play here.
Had no idea he was even down here in Des Moines. I like the call up. He’s had some great years.

One of my favorite times of the year seeing my Rockies match-up with you guys. Really wish I could be in Chicago to catch another meeting between our teams but it wasn't to be. However I'm going back to Chicago right after 4th of July.

I'm heading to Chicago on Thursday for a bachelor party. Unfortunately not attending a game, but an evening in Wrigleyville is on the schedule.

Like clock work Cargo drives in the first run and scores the 2nd run. Now has a RBI against every MLB team now.
