Is there more released other than the hand full of renderings from last November? I want to see site plans, floor plans, elevations and even more renderings, please!

An estimated construction time table would be nice.

Says completed construction December 2020 for the sports performance center. That does not mean the whole project will be done by then, just the sport performance center will be done and then they can move on to phase 2 which is the olson building, entrance and concourse work.

Looking at the list of current projects I noticed "Johnny Majors Practice Field Expansion."

Project Description
THIS PROJECT WILL EXPAND THE JOHNNY MAJORS PRACTICE FIELD. WORK WILL INCLUDE, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: REGRADING TO ALLOW EXPANSION OF EXISTING TURF AND PRACTICE FIELD; SEED OR SOD, RELOCATION OF IRRIGATION LINES, RELOCATION OF FENCING.

I don't remember hearing anything about this but from the cost it seems like a fairly small project. Do they really have room to expand that practice field in any direction?

They could easily expand to the west and remove that gravel road.

It mentions regrading which could include raising the field by several feet. If that is done you could expand further to the west before the grade of the Beach Ave. embankment became an issue. Shifting to the west could also allow a minor extension of the current 180 yard length to the south. They could also add a retaining wall along the embankment but that could start to get expensive.

This would be a real bummer for me, a G7 parking resident.

Sorry to scare you. The Campbell pirate in my post is a jimlad which on this site indicates the presence of sarcasm.

Or maybe they really are going to close G-7!

See how that works?

I guess you didn't pick up on the subtlety of my sarcasm being that since I park in G7 I would probably be notified of a change affecting me. I should have used the sarcasm font.

Not going to lie. It’s sweet just to see even a tiny little slice of Ames and ISU.

I have wondered this same thing in the past- it could be expensive but also worthwhile. That would also free up the Field of Dreams practice space east of the IM fields for the parking project
