Fran finally hired his assistant coach replacing Francis, Billy Taylor. Seems to have good Mid-Major experience.

Taylor joins the Hawkeye staff as an assistant coach after 18 years of collegiate coaching experience, including head coaching stints at Ball State, Lehigh, and Belmont Abbey. McCaffery coached Taylor as an assistant coach at Notre Dame (1992-95) and has been on the same staff as McCaffery on three different occasions.

So, what's the scouting report on this guy? Is he quick or strong enough to keep Fran from assaulting more referees?

The director of operations for mad man just a few years ago. At least he knows what he is getting into.

He's one of three guys to lead the country in unassisted hold-backs both as a player and an assistant coach. Fran got a good one.

How long are the Iowa players/coaches going to use the "the future is bright" line?

It's crazy how much ol' Todd still gets cited as a counterpoint to Fran. There's a thread on HR talking about Fran's 2015 recruiting class. And its just shocking how bad it turned out. Any coach that can turn in a recruiting class like that, doesn't deserve to have the finger pointed at anyone other than themselves.
