Authentic Football Helmets

Scanning ebay they have "authentic" Iowa State football helmets listed and have both Riddel and Schutt brands. Has the FB team actually used both companies within the last few years or does authentic mean knock off helmets.

Avoid Ebay since you have no idea if its authentic or not and just go to the ISU Equipment sale June 1st. At least there you know it is authentic and game worn. There is another thread about it right now.

Of course you may want to bring your Taser to the equipment sale...things can get a little heated.

That's what made me wonder if they are legit. Was just looking to see what they go for on ebay.

I wouldn't be surprised if you see a bunch of stuff go on ebay right after the sale. Some people may think they can make a buck flipping right away.

But are they cheap and high quality?

Authentic means a real helmet but commercially made for fans. Team issued or game worn are the only labels that mean from ISU. Not going to be a ton of flipping helmets when price of chrome and black is $400. Not a lot of meat left on the resale.

Thanks for the reply. I thought the same when I saw the price. Top end of what most would pay for them.
