You know it just makes your own team look bad to constantly point out how bad a team that you lost to sucks, right?
Good teams lose to bad ones from time to time, you know that right? KU lost to a TCU team one year that was 2-16 in the conference.

The Big 12 IS down this year. That's what's sad about it to me. KU isn't gonna get beat for the title by a Top 10 team; they are just going to fail a bunch more than they usually do.

Looks like what it took to end the streak is an erratic frosh PG, a bust Top 10 recruit, a knucklehead as the lone senior, a defensive stopper that can't shoot, a season ending injury to their most reliable scorer AND a player being held out for eligibility issues. Bummer.

Hopefully we go another 15 years before all those things happen in the same season again. It was a good run but I'd be shocked if this KU team turns it around.

If anything you should be mad at Adidas for dropping the ball on the recent talent delivery.

Nah, it just hasn't gelled together quite right. Maybe if this team gets DeSousa back as rumored they can get a spark but right now they are struggling mightily. So it goes. On to the next game.

Tech will beat KU at AFH on Saturday.

Things change fast in just 10 days.

How many times has a Bill Self KU team followed a home game in AFH with a loss after a road loss? I’ll hang up and listen.

Bill Self gets his teams to figure things out every year about at this point in January. This year will be no different. Every year KU picks up a bad loss and everyone thinks this is the year. After 14 times in a row you would think some would have payed attention to history a little better.

Too bad they had to pay DeSousa in the first place or they wouldn't be having that problem.

My biggest concern with KU now is they will get bounced from the conference tourney before we get to hang another loss on them. That would be a shame.

If we go 9-2 the rest of the way (not saying we will, but it's possible), that's 24-7 and we sure as hell will be Top 10. Also: yeah, admitting you've tied for first four times is better, but for at least two of those you weren't the #1 seed in the conference tournament, so admitting that would be betterer.

If ISU goes 9-2 the rest of their way, who have they beat in those 9 wins that would raise their profile to a Top 10 team? They have no games remaining against Kansas. You have 1 game left against #16 Texas Tech and a game left against almost ranked Kansas State. So dropping two games means you either lost to the only two decent teams left on your schedule or you lost to at least one, possibly two mediocre to bad teams. Neither of those scenarios gets ISU to Top 10.

ISU would have to run the table to get into the Top 10 at this point. Either that or you need multiple top 10 teams to drop a bunch of stinkers.

ESPN spinning this already.
Look at the league. It's not very good this year. It's not spin, it's reality. Texas Tech is a good defense but cannot score. Kansas State is pretty good but struggles to score. ISU can score but is erratic in their efforts on the defensive end and prone to hero ball and dumb shot selections. Kansas isn't gelling into what they could be. Baylor is still coached by Scott Drew.

If you printed out the latest bracket projections from ESPN, would you pick a single Big 12 team to advance beyond the Sweet Sixteen without it being a homer pick? No. The Big 12 is a big pile of decent but flawed teams this team.

We need an eye roll emoji. A Jayhawk fan doesn't see a FF or NC in his team's future, so that must mean the league is not very good. Give us a break.

The Big 12 isn't much different than it has been the last few years when it was the best conference in the land. The biggest difference is Kansas is down two of the best players money can buy.

You should have added a "right now" in front of the big pile of decent by flawed teams. Tech, ISU, KSU, even KU are more than capable of gelling and becoming a Top 10 team.

Still half a season in conference to go...

It's not very good but is still the #1 RPI conference and is either 1st or 2nd in alot of other rankings? Makes sense.
