No 24 v no 20: ESPN Matchup Predictor gives us the win at 60% on the road after they get demolished by Alabama. I like our road toughness with win in Lubbock. I say Prohm starts Lindell as a surprising vote of confidence and watch him put up 20 points to silence all the doubters (could happen any time). He he hasn't been getting to the rim as much. I believe in him. See how he handles the first 5 minutes. If he responds leave him in.
Also good to see TnT get going against KU. It illustrates the unpredictable mental component for some players. I would guess he is back to his preconference form now. Yay?

I've said on a couple threads that I believe he gets too amped-up sitting the first 6 mins of a game. We'll get his full talent that we've all seen in the past, if he start a game on the floor and immediately get into the flow of the game.

You don't do this for just any player but you do for extremely talented ones...that is, if you want to fully deploy their talent to benefit the team.

I’m ok trying him in the starting line up but what happens if that doesn’t work? Guys confidence is already shaken and being taken out of the starting line up again might make it worse.

Not to mention the damage you might do to whoever Lindell boots out of the lineup.

Oh this again. LW hasn't played well enough to deserve a starting position, he has lost his mojo. Not sure if there are lingering problems with his foot or if it is strictly mental. It probably wouldn't hurt to give him a start and see how he responds, but I also wouldn't be shocked if the results were the same. Prohm is clearly trying to let him play through his issues which is the best long term solution. There is no right answer and however Prohm manages it is fine with me. Whether he starts or not any time soon, here is to hoping he gets his mojo back.

The only person even worthy of debate that Lindell could start over is THT.

Haliburton and Shayok should only leave the floor for foul trouble, Jacobson is the clear starter until Lard figures out defense, and the offense runs smoothest with NWB.

This has been a season full of multiple threads about the same topics.

Hines tweeted sometime within the last week that reading between the lines that Lindell would eventually get back into the starting lineup. It definitely seemed like it would be happening sooner rather than later. I could very well see Lindell starting Saturday.

Hines’ tweets are based on the fact that Prohm has flat out said that Lindell will be starting again soon. He just didn’t specify when.

Also, don't underestimate his 'near double digit sources'.

This is the only concern, Lindell will be in the starting line up and one where he is comfortable to get into his grove right from the start. It is possible he is pressing to make an impact on the game when he's brought in off the bench.
To your point I would have preferred he started after a good game like OSU. Not sure coming off a off game on KU vs an unfamiliar team/gym on the road sets him up for success. Prohm may not want to put extra pressure on him if he starts and struggles (like many players would) and the criticism that would follow.
If I were Prohm I would prefer start Lindell at Hilton especially if the thought that it would help him being comfortable, not being too amped up and overall confidence.

In the end though Lindell has a bull dog mentality and I fully expect him to rebound and succeed in the next game no matter roll.

LW hasn't been good this season, and the KU game was a disaster, but it was just one game before that when he played his best game of the season. He's not the first player to be rattled at Allen Fieldhouse.

I know his game is about getting to the basket/free throw line, but he's not getting calls and isn't a great finisher. He's shown improved passing skills, and our offense looks great when he's penetrating and kicking. I'd like to see him settle into that role while also being a spot-up 3-point shooter. His best asset last season was his 3-point shooting, not his driving. If he can get his stroke locked in, we become a dangerous team.

I'd like to see him in the starting lineup, and I'm not sure Prohm handled this well. He was a starter at the beginning of the season. I understand ramping up his minutes, but the worst thing you can do to a player, especially one that plays as aggressively as Wigginton, is to muddy his role.

To this point, I don't think he does himself any favors because he always looks so out of control. He often drives under the trees into no-man's land, then attempts to throw up a flailing reverse layup, and just appears out of control. Officials don't often give you the benefit of the doubt in that scenario, even if there is significant contact. I think he needs to work on his approach at the rim. It's as if he works hard to avoid the contact, only to flail in an attempt to sell the contact.

Tough call. It's not like LW has done well enough to earn a starting spot this season. I just don't think that he fits all that well with the current team. Last year, he was the main weapon and pretty much the only weapon. It's a lot easier to play when you're the man and the team needs you to take shots for them to win. It's not as easy to play within a team and only take good shots.

Honestly, what I'd like to see is Prohm to start substituting earlier. Get LW and CL in at the under 16. Then go from there.

LW hasn't earned back his starting job. Normally, a starter wouldn't need to earn back his starting job, but his play has been so inconsistent it makes me wonder if LW (and even CL) are really better than the guys who replaced them. They might be more talented in the same way that Jacob Park was more talented. I prefer the guys who execute and find ways to win.

The first media timeout came really late in the Kansas game at 12:53. Lindell and Cam both came in at that point.
