I never saw. What was the estimate for Iowa State fans at the game.

Not sure that could be figured out with all the tickets sold on secondary markets

Was hpping for a visual estimate.
Stadium reported just over 60k attendance. My observation was the stadium was roughly 3:1 ISU to WSU. WSU fans were mostly in one corner of the stadium, with the rest of it seeming to be primarily ISU. It sounded like a home game in there at times, we got so loud and rowdy.

An estimate prior to the game. Official attendance was 60k plus, and well over half looked to be Cyclone fans (announcers thought 2/3). I think it's safe to say that we brought 30k plus.
Sat in the corner. The West side was full the whole length top to bottom of ISU fans. The very upper corner had some high school halftime band kids. The South endzone was all ISU. There were other ISU fans scattered around.

30k is what I would guess.

Some of them would have been kids from my hometown. Hope the band from LeMars Gehlen had a fun time at the Alamo Bowl.

Sitting on the Iowa State sideline, there looked to be a lot of gold accents on the Washington State side.

It was really hard to tell since both sides were red but walking around the stadium it seemed to be 3 or 4 to 1 cyclones. Walking around San Antonio before the game seemed to be 10 to 1 or more. Joked with many locals who would start a conversation by asking me if the whole state came down? Another popular joke was if the other team had showed up yet?
