Either of those two good recruits? I remember ISU offering Beyer late

There's also Miamen (Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin offers) and Logan Lee (Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin offers) both coming in... But it's hard for a TE to contribute as a freshman at Iowa like Fant did.

I'm not interested in non committable offers just an FYI

Did you got to a lot of cross country meets? Volleyball? Let's be honest there really is for the most part only two sports that matter. While it is nice for ISU nobody really cares that is an ISU,,,or really any school.
I went to two cross country meets and all of the home volleyball matches. Volleyball is a great spectator sport.

I would still take Hockensen over Fant if I were an NFL GM, but I know they won't because they all fall in love with all the "measurables", and how well you actually play football isn't as important to those idiots.

I'm hearing Hooker and Anthony Nelson may also go pro, but not sure on that.

As for ISU, I think Montgomery will leave, but I think Butler is probably 50-50. All depends on what the scouts think and where they would be projected to go.

If they both leave that will obviously hurt ISU a lot, but the RB group will still be loaded, and I actually think there will be a long list of tall WRs in line to take Butler's spot and hopefully one of them will be able to. That list will include....

Jalen Martin- 6'3"
Joseph Scates- 6'3"
Sean Shaw Jr- 6'6"
DK Blaylock- 6'5"
Nathaniel Beal- 6'5"
Darien Porter- 6'4"'
D'Shayne James- 6'3"

I know there are others besides this list that can play outside in Butler's spot, I just listed some of the taller guys.

Regular season final
Don’t disagree much with your lineup if playing Iowa Offense/Defense. This would be my Campbell coached all Iowa team:
QB - Purdy
RB - Montgomery
WR - Butler
WR - D.Jones
TE-Hockensmith
H/Slot- Fant
OL - Jackson
OL - Reynolds
OL - Render
OL - Knipfel
OL - Wirfs

DL - Epenesa
DL - Lima
DL - J. Bailey
LB - Rose
LB - Harvey
LB - Spears
S - Hooker
S - Eisworth
CB - Peavy
CB - Ojemudia
Flex-B. Lewis

P - Rastetter
K - Recinos

I could agree with all of this, except for Ojemudia at one of the corner spots. He wasn't even good enough to start for Iowa for parts of the season. I think Payne would be better, or maybe even Datrone Young or Anthony Johnson. Iowa's CBs were pretty bad all year.

Yeah I didn’t know much about him so left him alone. Either way that would be a pretty salty defense too. I would put that team up against about any other all state team. Washington,Iowa, Florida and Texas are only states with multiple top 25 Vegas power ranked teams.
Granted Alabama still would have the most talent ;)

Hockensmith must be pretty good if he's better than both Hockenson and Fant. ;)

Can’t disagree with most of this, except that Knipfel probably is in the top 5 of OL.

Iowa having all 5 in your book is just a testament to how good Montgomery is. What a find by that staff 3 years ago.

We go rounds on having JaQuan Bailey in there, obviously.

I also think Tarique Milton is neck and neck with DeShaunte Jones.

Brian Peavy is great, but there are whispers between the walls of the football facilities that Datrone Young is the best pure cover corner on the team. Losing him for the last few games did hurt.
