Someone was asking in an earlier thread about whether the roof was open or closed at Reliant Stadium when we played TCU. Here's a photo of the stadium during the game and it appears to be open.

And a couple more pics - we had a pretty good crowd - about equal between TCU and ISU.

Walter Nickel wasn't down!!!!!!!!!

The play that changed the game

Didn't Austin Flynn have one too? Rolled off the defender but they call him down....maybe it was Nickel.

Either way nothing about the game shocked me.

Same here. In fact I feel like I can remember being annoyed it wasn't open (it was nice outside that day). That said, the pics sure make it appear it was open.

Testifying
This was the first sporting event I attended after turning 21. In related news, I don’t remember much of this game.
It’s because Shiner Bocks we’re sold everywhere.

I drank way too much at 2 places: Armadillo, Volcano. One of those places had frozen screwdrivers. Ouch.

You sure they didn’t start with it open then close it? I think they did that at the first insight bowl

It is possible I'm confusing it with the Insight Bowl or something else, but I'm fairly confident the game started with the roof closed and was opened sometime during the game (maybe halftime). Picture with the open roof is from the start of the 4th.

I was there and have very fuzzy memories about it. We tailgated pretty hard. I know it was beautiful weather...

My most vivid memory was Berryman trying to pick a fight with TCU players after the game was over. Teammates held him back/escorted him off the field. Can anyone confirm?
