interesting... on multiple levels with the Tre commitment an obvious one. 247 also shows he has used 4 official visits for the Fall L'ville, Old Miss, Auburn and Georgia (this weekend). Leaving only one more during the fall period.

Would Tyrell get a more 5 visits with the new rules then for the spring? I still trying to understand what the NCAA allows.
If that is the case and ISU could get a OV that would significantly improve the chances.

Also:
@jakeweingarten Louisville doesn’t make the cut for 2019 four-star Tyrell Jones.

This was expected after 2019 four-star David Johnson commits.

Prohm landing Tyrell Jones at the last minute would be the ultimate kind of Prohm sneaky in the 11th hour kind of coup move, and he has had a couple.

CW wrote in a column recently that, when you think something is a problem, it is generally the case that Pollard or Campbell has been working on it for weeks or months, when they saw it was an issue, long before we would have known about it.

I tend to think Prohm is similar.

They have wheels within wheels.

Honestly that is unknown at this point. They lost their head coach to Louisville. Never know where a new coach can take a program.

You are right that new coaches bring unknowns with them.

They promoted from within, though -- Travis Steele has been the #2 man in the program for the past few years and coached for them since 2008.

Continuity in an already established program like that often works out.

Think about Jason Candle and Toledo after Campbell and Beckman.

I will not have you besmirching the good name of Wayne Morgan like that.

Some key differences between Iowa State then and Xavier now...

(1.) Xavier was a #1 seed and conference champion last season. They are at the top of their game. Larry was already sliding before the "incident."

(2.) Chris Mack went out on top and to a job that is borderline a blue blood in Louisville, and they promoted from within a well-regarded right-hand man to take over.

One who had come up several times as a potential head coaching candidate, something that was never happening with Wayne Morgan before the "incident."

We were not the same quality of program and the circumstances of the transition could not be much worse when comparing the two changes.

I like that our class is set and we can go all in on 2020 now or just get a juco after wigs decides
I think on-court performance will be our biggest recruiter this season. The 2020 class will be much easier if we show that last year was a fluke. If not...

We've reached the international scouting phase of 2019 recruiting.

@zsmart3 Iowa State will be in at @scotland_hoops tomorrow to see springboard- bouncy 6-3 '19 guard Clarence Nadolny. Paris, France native holds offers from Rutgers, Dayton, Hofstra, and George Mason on the table.

Already hit the international players. ISU is interested but have not offered yet.
