Of course, he is. Dude has 2 great games and he just keeps getting better. Still has his freshman lapses but he can get after it. I can't wait to watch him for the next 2 seasons.

Figured it'd be him or Trey Young. Both are fantastic. Excited to see them battle it out.

LaFester begs to disagree.
Who? You’re talking about over 30 years ago. What’s next, THT the Drake Killer next year?

Nevertheless, although he’s remembered for a great game that happened to be against Iowa, no one refers to LaFester as the great Iowa Killer. If he’d scored 23 against Iowa in a 6 point win that game wouldn’t even be remembered. It wasn’t the opponent but the production in a OT game.

I didn't mean it that literally. I thought the sentiment was beating Iowa doesn't get you anything. 30-odd years later, we still have threads like this:

That game happened the year of my birth (I think), and I know literally nothing else about Lafester other than he rose up to put down Iowa in a big game.

If we're being totally honest, Trae Young should probably win this award every week.

Averaged 30 points, 8 assists and 6.5 rebounds this week while beating the #8 and #16 teams in the country.

Happy for Lindell though.

Young won player of the week, Wigginton was newcomer
