Our official gold color is Pantone 142C. The cardinal is Pantone 186C. I know people like to ***** about the "real" gold or the "real" cardinal, but these are our official colors.

I young alumni friend posted a picture of herself on FB wearing an old ISU Starter jacket. She referred to it as "vintage". Cool, I can pull it out of my closet!

I had a big $ Visa gift card and could not find one Iowa State "coat." May be with our slow climb into national exposure it's time college sports clothes makers to rethink not offering really nice cold weather wear.

Yeah.. seems kind of crazy that they make 100's or 1000's for student athletes and family, yet none available for public. Even if they had to be ordered, it would at least be an option.. Guessing there is a closet somewhere full of them.. now to just find that closet.
