Red Sox, Yankees, Twins, Athletics, Mets, Blue Jays, Pirates, Brewers, Diamondbacks, Rays, Cardinals, White Sox, Braves and Nationals are out of the running for Ohtani.

I would give anything to get him. Fixes one pitching need. Gets a few spot starts in the outfield.

I liked the deal before I read this. Now I think it's amazing.
Add in our guy from Tampa and we have a good rotation ready to roll.

Sounds like the Cubs are wanting to make a deal with Alex Cobb either today or tomorrow with the idea they can focus on other needs during the Winter Meetings.
