Weekly Intermat Rankings are up. Storr falls to #19 after taking a couple of losses at Lindenwood. Nobody else is ranked currently.

Big XII guys, #1s, Iowa, and Rider listed below. Rider has top ten guys at 157 and 165, so not giving up bonus to them is probably going to be important on Sunday. Last week their 184 pounder was ranked 20th, but he dropped out of the rankings this week.

Wow... No judgement here, but it looks like Iowa might be in a rebuilding year. Especially at those lower weights.

There's a reason they are rolling the dice on Downey. Plus it wouldn't surprise me to see them pull Spencer Lee's redshirt. If they miss the top ten the heat would be on in Iowa City.

I wouldn't fault them for pulling Lee's shirt though. I'm all for letting a guy who is ready to wrestle do so, especially at a need weight. You never know what a 5th year is going to look like so you might as well let them wrestle while they are healthy and engaged.

I would let him and Warner go this year if it were me..they both could compete for a title imo

Agreed. We've all seen examples of guys who just didn't have anything left in their 5th year. Injuries can take a toll, and bodies don't always hold up. Gabe Moreno comes to mind (not that he should've wrestled his true freshman year, but that in his 5th year he just couldn't get healthy), and I'm sure there are numerous others who were in similar situations.

I'm still torn on Coleman's RS though. Iowa is looking for a Top 5 to trophy finish if they let Lee and Warner go. We're not really shooting for anything of significance.

On the other side, it'd be nice to see him go, since he sure seems to be our best option. Swalla got a tough draw at Lindenwood, certainly not ready to give up on him.

We need to see how Coleman would do against ranked D1 guys. He is definitely a high ranked true freshman. I wish he was in the Open division at Lindenwood. But it is possible he would have wrestled mainly Iowa State guys. (Swalla, Stickland, Entzel)
