He's a good LB, far from a lock to be a finalist. Hawk fans are just grasping at the few straws they have left.

If we're being honest the best LB in the country is probably some kid at Alabama who doesn't rack up tackles simply because everyone else on his team is that good.
Jewell is definitely a very good LB but out of the four categories this year, Solo Tackles, Total Tackles, Tackles for Loss and Sacks, he ranks in the top 3 in one, and out of the top 10 in the others. Add in the fact that he plays on a mediocre team and it's not a good mixture for winning awards.
It's the end of the third quarter, let's all stand and face the hospital and wave to the people being treated for alcohol poisoning who were playing take a shot every time Dolph and Eddy say "The Outlaw Josey Jewell".
Jewell is a good linebacker, and is excellent at getting into good position, but I've seen him miss so many tackles. They should create a stat for tackle percentage. I'm assuming that stat would shut hawk fans up.
He looked pretty mediocre in the only game I watched him play this year. Sounds like he's a good kid and all...can the Hawk fans start a write in campaign?
Jewell is a very good LB...He’s a top 10-15 LB in country IMO. We all would take him in a heartbeat let’s not kid ourselves.
