Gold rally towels for TCU game

I would think if the Athletic Department wanted to do something for the game (Gold out, C/G every other section or something like that) they would come out early in the week and say it.

Would be great to get something going. Hype it up a bit more.

Maybe they are waiting for a game that, on paper, would be a win for the good guys. Just don't make the same mistake OU made.

Yep, that could quite literally be my least favorite possible uniform combo.

I'm on board for the W/G/W as well.

I was in school, we couldn't even get 90% of the crowd to all wear cardinal on "Color it cardinal" saturdays or gold for the "Gold Rules" game (which was KU every year when I was in school). It was printed on the ticket and on the posters and schedules and magnets...

you would definitely think this would be the strategy however in 2011 when we did the gold towels my wife was an intern I nearly got her removed from the program for leaking gold towel night evidently the athletic department said they wanted it to be a big secret why the heckwould you want something like that to be a secret

I have a couple of those. Also, a red Big 8 handkerchief from mid 80's (think it was a BB game).

No, Iowa State also handed out gold towels at the 2012 Liberty Bowl game. A game that went quite poorly. Doesn't mean we shouldn't do it, but it's not a magical talisman.
