*Opinion Poll* Rooting against the team out east

The team out east lost today, but how should a Cyclone fan feel about this?. When I talk about Cyclone football with my peers and acquaintances, I sometimes ask this...

The more that team wins, the better the rivalry game, the outcome and state of Iowa football looks.

But as a Cyclone fan, it feels sacrilegious to root for them.

Or maybe I just shouldn't care and worry about the boys in cardinal and gold.

What do you think?

I would love nothing more than for Iowa to go through a long stretch of football failures. I don't care if the rivalry wasn't as good. Sign me up for a decade or more of dominance in the rivalry any day of the week.

my favorite team is Iowa State and my second favorite team is whoever is playing Iowa.

This. Wasn't even really paying attention to their game today since ours had meaning. Once ours was over, I started channel flipping and noticed they were in OT. Laughed a little when they lost, and then turned on the OSU-Texas game. Wouldn't of made my day any different had they won.

I cheer for two teams...Iowa State and whoever is playing thee Ioa Choke Eyes.....btw I have a bro in law who hates Nebraska so bad he cheers for whoever the Huskers are losing to next...lol...sorry I just couldnt resist.

Ferentz hasn't been good against Iowa State, but he's a good to great coach. There's no getting around that. I hope Ferentz retires, they make a bad hire, and fade into irrelevance like they experienced before Fry.

Never rooted for them but when they aren't playing us I don't waste my time actively rooting against them. **** the hawks and they don't deserve any more of my attention than 1 game a year.
