Just wanted to let you guys know that our annual hoops tipoff party with special guests will be held at Whiskey River in Ankeny on Thursday, Oct. 19. We will start the program at 7. Whiskey River is giving us their banquet room to use. Going to be awesome, probably our best setting yet. Mark your calendars and tell your friends!

Is Adam Gray now considered a "special guest?" Seriously, I hope he will be there too.

Another great event. Love the access we have to the coaching staffs. Thanks for putting this together. Quote of the night was Coach Prohm’s response to the coaches poll-“We aren’t going to finish 9th”

Testifying
any other nuggets/info people want to share?
Hans will be a good player if he can stay healthy.
Jakolby has an injured groin.
Scrimmage vs Nebraska is happening soon.
Naz was in town yesterday.
CSP still plans on a heavy guard orientated lineup.
A lot of positive talk about Zoran.
D-Jack's team but also needs Nick WB to step up leadership wise.
Lindell is as good as they thought.
Nick Graham was introduced and he has a pretty impressive background including training with Chancey Billups.

And someone brought up Fran turning in programs and CSP deflected that as well as you could by saying his staff will never, ever cheat.

This is really starting to feel like his final year at ISU.

One of the extremely cool things about this event is that the coaches just talk off the record. They just seem to enjoy being there with the fans, watching the Cubs, and joking around. Even in the Q&A, they really seem to have a good time, such as Prohm joking around with people about the questions they ask. He is pretty quick on his feet.

Hot take: Prohm should not try to lead the audience in singing the fight song or Sweet Caroline.

What the hell was with that Atlanta Braves shirt last night?

Maybe it was "A" for Ames?

Here is Kagavi's throw-back t-shirt with the "A" logo.
