It's called a sudden, massive "culture change" and the bookies all of a sudden realized it. Like a cyclone hitting.Has there ever been a larger two-week point spread than Oklahoma + 31 versus us, then Iowa State +22 verses Kansas? Maybe a middler SEC team playing Alabama one week and Kentucky the next. A two-week point spread of 53 just seems huge.
Need to beat TT by 4 tds to maintain the average. Not only that, but ISU has covered the spread by 65 points in two weeks. For ISU to score 65 points in two weeks would have been a major accomplishment in the past - forget the spread.
I remember some 49 point spreads in the ISU - NU games of the mid-90's and we didn't even come close to covering. Couple of 70+ to 14 games over in Lincoln... At least the Husker faithful didn't have to wait until the 2nd half to release their stupid balloons.
