Has there ever been a larger two-week point spread than Oklahoma + 31 versus us, then Iowa State +22 verses Kansas? Maybe a middler SEC team playing Alabama one week and Kentucky the next. A two-week point spread of 53 just seems huge.

It's called a sudden, massive "culture change" and the bookies all of a sudden realized it. Like a cyclone hitting.

Not only that, but ISU has covered the spread by 65 points in two weeks. For ISU to score 65 points in two weeks would have been a major accomplishment in the past - forget the spread.

I remember some 49 point spreads in the ISU - NU games of the mid-90's and we didn't even come close to covering. Couple of 70+ to 14 games over in Lincoln... At least the Husker faithful didn't have to wait until the 2nd half to release their stupid balloons.

vs. Oklahoma: Vegas assumed we might use the alternate tornado logo again.
vs. Kansas: Vegas knew we would not use the alternate tornado logo again.

Simple analytics, my friend.

This year their arms go numb from holding them so long...
