As of this past Monday (when the standings come out), Iowa State was #21 in the RPI. Good, but we're going to have to take down a couple of the teams ahead of us if we're going to move up much and be in the running for hosting 1st and 2nd round games. Beating the bottom half of the league isn't going to accomplish much aside from padding the 'W' column.

I wouldn’t put it all on the setter play. I’ve been a season ticket holder for 5 years and that was the worst match I’ve ever seen. So lifeless and flat. Baylor had a 5’8” hitter that hit past us...that shouldn’t happen in D1 Volleyball.

Yes - the key is getting a top 16 seed and hosting those first 2 rounds. Otherwise we're having to beat a very good team in front of their fans in the second round. Not easy.

Maybe not as much that ours were that bad but theirs was that good. Takes good sets for a 5'8" hitter to get consistent hits like that.

KU and Texas both have freakish athletes that can save their setters. But that Baylor match was probably the worst match I've seen ISU play in years. We need to win against KU Baylor or Texas to really have a legitimate shot at the top 16 seeds.
