I can't believe the game was even close looking at those numbers
PSU was absolutely garbage at finding paint.

Between the 20's? Lights out. It was just ridiculous that they struggled so damn much at scoring points when literally everything else was going so well.

Interestingly enough, Iowa actually averaged more yards per play last night but then again they only had 40 some possessions to Penn State's 99 plays from scrimmage. Iowa's defense did extremely well in the red-zone and that is where Iowa's scheme shines. They didn't give up very many big plays, which is difficult to do given the type of guys Penn State puts out there on the field. PSU has great athletes on both sides of the ball and the best QB Iowa has faced up to this point, along with the Heisman Candidate RB Barkley. A PSU with a healthy Barkley is more dangerous offensively than Ohio State. I think what's been overlooked due to Barkley's record setting night, was Josey Jewell's performance. He had a great game. It was just a classic, hard hitting Big 10 game in which both teams left everything they had out there on the field.

You think you should have scored more than 19 points with 273 total yards? You're not the brightest Hawk in the bunch are you?

Iowa had a FG blocked, fumbled deep in PSU territory and failed to convert on two PATs, while losing by 2 points. Just an FYI, plus they gave PSU 2 points with that ill-advised pitch deep in their own end-zone.

PSU blocked a FG, caused a fumble deep in their own territory, and prevented Iowa from converting two PATs. Oh and they also tackled the Iowa running back in the end zone for a safety.

But let's compare those to the number of points PSU left on the field because their offense kept petering out in the red zone. The point is, 19 points on 273 total yards is not shocking. 21 points on almost 600 yards is shocking.

They petered out in the red zone because Iowa's defense played well in the red zone. It's part of their scheme, plus it constricts the size of space available for PSU's playmakers and Barkley to get in space. You have to give Iowa and Josey Jewell credit there. They did well in not giving up big plays up and down the field and letting PSU eat up the clock on the ground. Iowa also blocked a FG as well.

You do not seem to understand how the game of football works

You got dominated. Interesting how you neede to work in the false statement about their qb being the best you’ll see all year, when he was a huge part of keeping you in the game. That also goes to the you not understanding anything.

So you should probably stop trying to sound learned about football, because you aren’t. Actually, you should just stop posting here all together. We already know you are an insecure doosh, you don’t have to continue to prove it.

If that's the best QB they face, then the Big Ten is pathetic. That quarterback was not that good.

Brian gave an opposing team 2 points?

I agree this was a huge moral victory for them. Great moral victory. This was a morally superior victory for the hoks. Big moral win Saturday night.
