If we can't win that series or at worst split it then we don't deserve to make the playoffs. Food for thought nobody gave you a chance to beat us 2 years ago.
You're no where near the Cubs level 2 years ago, so don't try to make that comparison. At least Busch is going to finally be able to see a playoff clinching celebration again. It's been, and probably will be, awhile.

If the Cardinals get to the NLCS that would mean they would have gone on one hell of a run in a month. Yadi and Waino's World Series experience sprinkled with the new guys can be a scary problem for teams like yourself. I hope you are ready for it.

I'm 100% positive there is not a single Cub player scared of the Cardinals. But let's not talk about fairy tale situations here. You'll be eliminated from playoff contention in less than a week. In 10 days, your avatar will be a Cubs logo for 6 months.

Lackey shouldn't have been allowed to hit there. With expanded rosters, no reason bullpen couldn't handle this game. Not like they'd do worse than him anyway

Pull him in the third? That's a little early especially knowing Lackey gets better as the game goes on, and he's pitching on 7 days rest after a shortened outing.

Hell of a plate appearance by Jay to get a single. Turning point in the game.
