Friday 5: Big 12 school colors

With a bye week and heading into Big 12 play, I like to call this topic “The Colors of Fall.”

Rank your top 5 school colors among Big 12 teams, regardless of your opinion about the school/program itself.

To remove loyalty factor, omit Iowa State from the mix. Optional: Below your top 5, tell us where you would rank ISU’s colors as an unbiased observer (at least, as unbiased as possible).

I don't like purple or the green and gold combo.

I guess I like orange. Can't go wrong with America colors like KU. I like ISU and WVU uni's more than OU, and TTU's always just seem so ugly.

KSU - I like purple, sorry
OU - clean look
TCU - again, purple
TTU - good contrast for me
OSU - orange is underrated
WVU - I had a hard time placing this, some times it looks sharp, but not when gold is the focus
UT - another clean look
ISU - being unbiased, this is where I'm at
KU - having USA colors keeps this from being last
BU - not getting the love for their colors, just one more reason to dislike them

Last week’s Friday 5: Ken Burns documentaries

An interesting question. This is kinda tough as I tend to think of the jersey as well as the color. For instance, Texas Tech's red and black could be sweet, but their football jerseys are outdated. Anyway, I'll try to stick to just color combos:

I love our cardinal, but the gold is hideous.

Ranking colors without uniforms is odd. I mean I'm not an orange fan but believe, at least to my eye, that UT's uniforms are the best in football. So, as usual, I'm missing the point here and will go away.

I am shocked at how many people like Orange and Black of OSU. I think it's repulsive and thank baby Jesus every day I don't have to wear those god awful colors.
