I'm sure Oklahoma isn't in a big hurry to become the next Nebraska.

Lol he's 76. take the tin foil hat off.

IF OU is jumping to a different conference my money would be on the SEC. They aren't doing anything without OSU and that will be a deal breaker for the B1G.

Why do you assume OU is looking to jump conferences? Big12 money is good and their path to a championship is clearly the easiest in the big12

I'm not assuming that at all. I thought I made that clear by starting my sentence of with IF.

Whatever boosters were pulling his strings will also be pulling the strings on his replacement.

I'm sure there has been boosters pulling his strings but I also tend to believe that Boren just likes to hear himself talk more than anything.

This. Look at where A&M, Nebraska, and Missouri are at after bolting. At least A&M can still get Texas recruiting so they could come back soon. Nebraska and Missouri are really feeling it now that they have lost their Texas recruiting for several years. What makes OU different than Nebraska if they went to the Big Ten?

OU is more dependent on Texas recruiting than Nebraska ever was and look at Nebraska now. Leaving the B12 isn't a great idea, IMO.

I just went thru OU's roster and they have 40 players from Texas.

OU has quickly become home to the random-ass-quit-your-job-in-the-middle-of-the-week.

You read the OU and Texas boards and you see more wanting to get out of the Big 12. These guys basically run the Big 12, have the most money, and are the biggest babies in all of this, mostly OU. Texas Tech believes where Texas goes, they go, same with OSU with OU. It would be karma to see Tech and OSU cry about it if Texas and OU bolt and leave Tech and OSU behind. So instead of trying to help shore up the conference, Tech and OSU will likely vote and agree to whatever Texas and OU want respectively in the future. I guess we will find out in about 6 years the result.
