So basically anyone with a good record after week 3. Doesn't seem like they put a lot into that ranking system.

Well, it is part of his "formula." ... "(1) Wins and losses mean more than anything."

Here's an expanded explanation of his formula, included w/ previous week's rankings.

His method is open to debate, obviously, but it helps explain why Duke, Wake and T-Tech (examples mentioned in this thread) are ranked so high. And Iowa, too ... and by extension, ISU – which probably would rank higher based on UI's placement, but he admits giving little credit to wins vs. FCS.

It is math and statistics. Small amount of data to use at this point. The UCF ranking is a prime example and he even states it is because they have only played on game

Tx Tech at #26 is laughable
Too many iSu fans look at the iSu/TT game as an indicator of who they are. Texas Tech is much better than they played against us.

They had one score losses to ASU, KSU, OU, Texas and Okie St.

I'm not saying they are #26 but it isn't as laughable as people claim.
