How's the forecast looking for Iowa-Missouri-Nebraska? Still overcast at all locations? What a bummer.

I don't have the ideal spot compared to more central locations...but this time of year in southern California it's cloudy at 8:00am 90% of the time and zero clouds by 10:00am 99% of the time and 10:21 is my time.

Most the local people in KC are saying partly cloudy, so hard to say if there will be clouds in your area or not.

Don't leave your pets outside tomorrow.

I'm really jealous of those of you that will get to see the total eclipse

I should have added this to the 'but why' thread. i honestly have zero interest in these things. i know some people that took monday off and drove 8 hours to go near KC to be in the best path. no thanks

Wherever I might have traveled to would have had guaranteed overcast and cloudy conditions. I am a bad weather magnet for planned activities requiring sunny weather.

Meh everyone is different. There are people that say no thanks to standing in a parking lot tailgating for hours on end.

I'm actually pretty pumped for this. It looks like it will be so so where I am, but there will be beer and barbeque. Once in a lifetime events are hard ignore.

Eclipses would be so much more fun if we didn't know that it was simply the moon passing in front of the sun.

Decided for sure mid afternoon today it was better to drive 6 hrs to Carbondale, IL than 4.5 to Central MO. Leaving 3 am. Staying off the Interstates where the traffic and road construction is. Thank you IL DOT website.

No idea people were this hyped for it. I guess I should at least cancel my 1pm meeting I have scheduled so the slackers can go watch the clouds.

Sure isn't looking good out there. Nebraska is iffy at best, Missouri is a maybe for central and eastern but KC doesn't look good.

My son and I just made the cereal box reflection viewer...fun little project to do together. Not as good as the glasses (cant find them in Ankeny), but will be fun to show him later today if the clouds disperse.
