Curious how you guys rank your units ...

  • After Iowa State won the Big 12, a Cyclone made a wonderful offer to We Will that now increases our match. Now all gifts up to $400,000 between now and the Final 4 will be matched. Please consider giving at We Will Collective.

If you're born after 1980, you're considered a M.
I will argue that, but it really doesn't matter. I get called a 'Normy' by millenials, which means I don't use social media often, and I have a terrible understanding of modern urban slang, and online memes.

I don't listen to their music, I don't wear their clothes, I don't like their ideas. Most people born in early 80's don't identify as a millenial. Plus, I have a strong work ethic so that right there pretty much makes me not a millenial. :p

Edit: To be more specific, we grew up on Nirvana, Classic Gangster rap, Oasis. They grew up on TRL, NSync, Reality TV, and touch screens.

I'll answer seriously:
1. WR (talent and depth)
2. RB (experience and versatility)
3. CB (two really good players, but backups are young)
4. ST (good punter, good returners, transfer kicker)
5. QB (NFL arm, but needs to prove he's polished. Depth is green/untested)
6. S (KCM needs to prove he can stay healthy. 3 other SRs competing for time)
7. OL (a lot to learn yet. Manning is a wizard tho and he turned last years OL into something decent with less talent)
8. LB (Lanning unproven, Spears unproven, Harvey is decent. Could be good, could struggle)
9. DL (DE's are OK, not dominant. DT/NG depends on JUCOs and career backups. They have size and some ability, but haven't proven anything at this level)

Thanks... I think?

I don't consider myself a Millenial but I guess it depends on who you ask. I can remember a time when almost no one had personal computers, and we played outside all the time.

Played with what....sorry, you left that dangling, your error.

Ranking the units just by starters and tier.

Tier 1-
WR
DB

Tier 2-
QB
RB

Tier 3-
TE
DL
OL
LB

There's talent for some of the positions to move up, and hopefully they do.

How do you rank your KSU's units, Surly?
  1. Special Teams - no surprise
  2. QB - fifth year senior, Jesse Ertz, must stay healthy
  3. O'line - losing Rimington List senior center, Reid Najvar, for season/career hurt this unit
  4. RB - this is a big/deep/seasoned unit led by all-conference fullback, Winston Dimel
  5. DB - potential all-conference at both corners; one safety position open
  6. WR - adding Cal transfer Carlos Strickland (only 4* recruit on squad) adds depth
  7. DL - #75 will be missed - three starters return
  8. LB - concerns aplenty here

From an outsiders view I would think that KSU's DB'swould be in the top 3 no questions asked.
