I don't know what is crazier, offering 388 kids or offering 32 kids. Both make my head hurt.

More than 388 when you factor in how many Rivals missed. Not sure how well Rivals keeps on top of offers, but 247 still doesn't have profiles for at least 7 recruits ISU has offered. At least 10 more on top of that don't list the ISU offer on their profile. That's just from my own list.

Honestly, I don't know how I feel on the number. I do know that you need to make an offer to get a recruit (usually), but damn, how do keep track of nearly 400...that is a big effort. But the increase in numbers looks to be across the board for most schools...heck, even Iowa is at 118, which seems much higher than normal. Proof will be in the pudding when February rolls around...

It's like muskie fishing.......fish of 10,000 casts

Go find the kids you think will fit your system - first ones that want to sign up great you are in, then start pulling offers. put the pressure on the kids to commit.

A big effort is required here.

My little brother hit on every female prospect that caught his eye. He struck out a lot and got slapped a lot. He also put notches in his gun where others thought the odds were non existent. He measured his results only by the number of wins and never bothered counting the number of games it took to achieve the wins.
