No doubt, the signing bonus would be tempting but I have no idea how well off his family is and if the money would be the deciding factor.
If you care about baseball you take that as you will be fast tracked as a first-5 round pick. That is basically the pinnacle of the MLB draft and you shouldn't pass it up. Hell he could even get drafted and go to school for free while still having his rights owned by his drafters. MLB is "the hardest" to get to the Bigs because the sheer amount of people, but when you put that against the NFL where he is basically doing the minor leagues in college. College is where the players get weeded out in football. The only difference is you are making money continually and not beating your body to **** if you take the MLB draft route.
But, forreal, more power to him if he has always wanted to play football for Iowa and he knows he can't let that opportunity pass up. That is a big ******* decision and he has to really love Iowa to pass that type of possibility up, because he is essentially saying no to baseball for good
