Hot take Monday...re-al will be one of the 11...just watched most of the top recruits tape and talk about his holding up. The drills they do are all 7 on 7 style. His height will not be a factor at all. I honestly believe that 2-2.5 inches are stopping him from being a top 5 QB

Interesting if you look back at the Elite 11's over the years. It's a somewhat even split between successful college QB's and guys that never played. Most interesting to me is that a huge number of them transfer during their college careers. I guess QB is the position that creates the most transfers, but out of the 11/12 guys each year, here are the number of transfers from 2007-2013:

2007: 2
2008: 5
2009: 8
2010: 6
2011: 6
2012: 6
2013: 3 (including Park)

I guess it makes sense if these guys were highly touted and go to programs that recruit top QB's every year that they look elsewhere as soon as they fall on depth charts. Just thought it was interesting. They almost all go to big programs to start with, so gives credibility to the whole competition and recognition.

I think you're right. Most of these guys could start for 90% of programs in the country... Yet they tend to all go to the same 10% where there's serious competition. Basically what happened to Park..

Which I think is hilariously sad. Everything I've seen about the college-NFL transition seems to suggest that players are better off going to a place where they can play early and often. Going somewhere to ride the bench for a couple years doesn't help you get to the NFL.
