I love how people thing every kid we get has to be a super star. Like no team has roll players that do a job. I'm not overly pumped about this kid like wiggington. However, he will have a valuable roll at some point.

The nice thing about sit out transfers, they're about the only ones you can count on that will be on your team in 2 years anymore. Welcome Mike.

Unlike freshmen that commit and sign. Exception is Kasongo.

I also like the balance between sit-one players and grad-transfers, numbers-wise. Sit-one guys can be valuable for practice squad and they get a season in the system before live action.

I'm surprised some people are down on the signing, especially since ISU still has two slots to fill, Jacobson has size (something not in abundant supply) and P5 experience, won't eat into playing time in 2017-18.

It's a role-player move, for the most part, but how many top-shelf transfers are left (sit-out or grad) that are seriously considering ISU?

I don't know much about Shayok, but it seems like Beverly, Brase and Jacobson are of the hard working, team player mentality.
