Quit trying to compare the track record that KF and CMC have in regards to developing NFL talent. There is no comparison.

I'm not comparing them. You said CMC had no track record of sending players to the NFL which is not accurate

Not for sure, I didn't realize Iowa's was so long ago too.

You keep talking about these 2 star recruits. Has Ferentz ever had a 5 star recruit go to the NFL? I wonder if that worries Espenesa
Yes

Tony Moeaki - NFL. Really, really good.

Dace Richardson - Collected NFL paycheck with Giants, then cut. Multiple injuries Jr/Sr year, but was 1st/2nd team all conference in 2009, mid season All American team by CBS. Total stud on a BCS bowl winning team. http://247sports.com/player/dace-richardson-25426

Dan Doering - No NFL. Never developed like everyone thought, although in his defense did have an injury plagued his career. Bad work ethic from rumors as well. Ended up still getting a shot with the Seahawks as bad as he was at Iowa.

Blake Larson - No NFL. Bust http://247sports.com/player/blake-larsen-48856

Matt Roth - NFL. Really, really good. http://247sports.com/player/matt-roth-48805

Wasn't there a 5 star LB in there too?

Are you talking about Kyle "Bonecrusher" Williams?

He was back in the 2000 or 2001 class, IIRC.

Never made it to campus and is serving a long prison sentence I believe.

YeahBuddy was sort of right, 2004 class, never made it. Not really on Kirk for not developing him.
Even if you want to include him (which makes no sense), Kirk is still batting .500 with 5* guys. Add in the fact that two of them (Doering and Richardson) battled a ton of injuries in their careers. I'll take that.

Why didn't he make it?
Don't remember why he didn't make it to Iowa after verbaling, but at Purdue he attacked (raped?) two female students I believe. But since you know more about Iowa recruiting than most people do, and have access to google, you knew that already.

Behind you
isu's 5 star recruit is so awesome that he was chased down from behind by another one of Iowa's 2 star recruiting success stories. It must be the development and coaching he gets in ames.

Yikes.

Was AL really a 5*? I know he was top-10 WR recruit or something close to that, but didn’t know he was 5* recruit. And after his junior year his own coach said there’s a good chance he wouldn’t have even been drafted this year? Yikes.

I knew he wasn't 5 star on Rivals but I thought 247 had him as a top 10 WR and a 5 star but he wasn't.

Has isu ever had a 5-star recruit then? I honestly don't know.

Give it time, those guys in Ames will be landing them in no time.

Man, this McNeil news has you in a bad mood.

Having to go back 13 years to take a shot at KF.

Do better.

I could go back one year if I wanted to take shots at KF. Bison, bowl games, etc. I'm saying him recruiting kids with character issues is no surprise

Sounds like a guy Kirk would recruit

Williams was declared ineligible according to the clearinghouse. He then went to Purdue where he had legal troubles. No legal issues for the few weeks he was at Iowa but Cy Twins knows that.

Keep obsessing about Iowa. Not sure you can do anything else.

Sound the Sirens.

Look even one of those linky things Cy Twins.

Get back to us when isu has a Outland Trophy winner.

I get what you're saying because ISU's been so bad/marginal at best with football, but get back to anyone when anyone outside of the participating teams/schools can mention pretty much any Outland Trophy winner.
