So according to 247, even after this newest commit for Iowa, ISU's class is ranked #33, and Iowa's #40. Who knows where they will end up, but right now it's kinda silly for Iowa to be bragging about their commitments.

Due to the number of commits in each class. Can you tell me what the average player rating for each class is? TIA

Have Hawk fans gotten so concerned about ISU and Campbell that they now feel the need to come over here and report every single verbal commit? Wow, how the mighty have fallen. Fear, fear, fear.

What is to fear from CMC, Iowa is 15-3 against him head to head for recruits. Clone fans sure do celebrate those three wins . A lot like isu's usual season win total.

Who brags about recruiting rankings in May? This is all ISU fan did last year and they ended up in the 50's and 7th in the Big12. Iowa will end up in the 40's or so, and ISU will end up in the 50's or 60's.

Iowa fans all last year were bragging about their class in May/June.

Article on the newest Iowa commit, Samson Evans.

https://www.landof10.com/iowa/iowa-...k-jake-adams-iowa-baseball-big-ten-tournament

Bryson Williams should be the next verbal to this class.

Steve Wiltfong calls Samson EVans the most explosive and exciting playmaker in Illinois.

That would be awesome if Iowa lands Williams next. Evans and Williams both with offers from #ThoseGuysinAmes

Williams would be a good get. Not Downing good (no Fleck or any SEC offers) but still solid

Downing is good, but give it a rest. He is not 4* (yet) or 5* good. Iowa has 3 or 4 recruits and an OL recruit already committed rated higher than him according to 247. NO link. Dont be lazy and look it up.

I dont think the bold is accurate.

Downing is rated slightly higher than Jenkins on 247, IIRC.

No they don't. They have one recruit in the 2018 class that's an OL and he's ranked worse and has only one P5 offer which is Iowa. Derp

Downing is a good get, he will be ISU best lineman in a few years. He will be a Banwart, Williams, Jenkins level player. This is great news for ISU!

I do realize there is no guarantee that the ISU staff can develop the way Iowa can, I'm still comfortable saying Downing can get to Jenkins, Barnwart, Williams level. Iowa has a great eye for OL talent and they wanted all of those guys pretty early in the recruiting process.

Yes because every OL recruit pans out for Iowa...

Comparing a stud like Downing to a kid with no other P5 offers is pretty silly IMO

The only thing that really matter is the early Iowa offer, it trumps everything else. Like I said, congrats on nabbing one of those Iowa early offer OL, for the most part they preform at a high level.
