Good to hear! Kind of what I thought from Leo. Give him a summer to let our coaches work with him progress and I predict good results!

When's the last time we saw Size and numbers like that on an ISU D-Line? I can't ever remember anything like it.
Never had that kind of size!!

Where did you find these numbers? The digital roster @ Cyclones.com doesn't reflect this.

Yeah, so where are you getting your numbers? The video? I can't listen at work.
In the article it says that Trent is around 300. Alex Halsted also has a podcast with Coach Rasheed that he goes in depth on the defensive line and talks about newcomers and some of the changes the current guys have made. He mentions JaQuan got up to 270 and they were trying to trim him down, and that Uwazurike was nearly 280 lbs.

I'm not surprised about Benton I thought he should of been starter last year. More completion and talent than last year IMO. He is probably just trying to encourage JaQuan to compete more. I'm betting on Uwazike have a good year next year and could play multiple positions as far as size. I think freshman players Cordarrius Bailey and Angel Dominguez could immediately contribute.

I doubt Dominguez does much next year. I think he torn an ACL and missed most of his last year of high school ball

Coach Rasheed has a way of motivating Dline guys..when he talks younwoild think we were back to a 1988 Dline..

Good to hear about Vernel Trent..this will be the first year....since...well...forever...that I can recall we truly have a 2 deep across entire Dline with bodies and talent that are big 12 worthy..

Weird feeling, huh? The mass exodus in 2014 was a killer. All we've ever heard from previous staffs was how hard it was to recruit good defensive tackles. As a result, we've had to rely on unprepared bottom of the barrel jucos, walk-ons, & bulked up defensive ends. This forced our stronger linebackers to play as undersized D ends, and bigger safeties to play as undersized linebackers. No wonder we've always struggled to stop the run.

Good to see a staff finally making it a priority; now they need to retain and develop.

I thought recruiting DL was almost impossible at ISU. This staff really makes the line of scrimmage a priority.
