New planet discovery?

I'm not an astronomer, but I think it's basically this:

We find exoplanets in other solar systems when they transit (cross in front) of their star and the star dims slightly. This planet is not between the sun and us, so it doesn't transit the sun. It's also far enough away from any other stars that they wouldn't dim enough for us to notice. Finally, it's not found like the other planets in our solar system were because it's so far from our sun that it's not illuminated enough for us to see it easily.

Soooo, you're an astronomer then?
