Based on that he shoots 24% from three and doesn't play defense well, even against slower MVC talent. He gets to the paint against that same slower, MVC talent but I don't see him being able to do it consistantly at the next level.

So just because he doesn't shoot the 3 well means he won't be a fit here? Makes sense. I think Fred realizes there are other ways for a guard to score than 3 pointers. We'll only have 2 guards on scholarship after this year, getting an experienced guard in here would do this team wonders. Can't believe this is even being debated.

From what I'm hearing, there isn't a lot of interest from Iowa State on this one. I won't rule it out 100 percent. This is recruiting. Crazy things happen. It just doesn't look like this is likely to happen at this point in time.

If it was JUST that he couldn't shoot it would be one thing, but he is also bad on D. If he could shoot and was bad on D, then you could overlook the defense and vice versa... And I know somebody will bring up his steals, but steals is a VERY deceiving stat when it comes to judging good defense.
